EA monogram
for a private customer
It was a complex job:
- development of a monogram
- performing art work on paper with watercolors and gold
- framing with original mat
It is a commission for the lovely couple as a wedding gift. They are seriously passionate about the Middle Ages.
The monogram is completed by the custom mat and the white frame. (watch the video, please).The mat is made by hand in old French technique. The gold filet and delicate ornament correspond with the monogram. The matting should complement the piece - the basic rule of the French lavis technique.
